British resident of Cuevas del Almanzora was arrested at his place of work in Vera last Friday for an assault which took place at the beginning of October. They name the suspect as 39 year old Mark C.A.
It happened in the Villaricos area of Cuevas del Almanzora on 6th October where the suspect and a friend were drinking in a local bar, and asked another man who was there to buy them both a drink. The Civil Guard said he had never met the two men before. He refused, and was followed out into the street when he left the bar, and was assaulted. The victim suffered a number of broken ribs, injuries to his face, and bruising, and was left unconscious in the street.
Mark C.A., who it’s understood has a police record in the UK for robbery, public disorder, drug possession, receiving, and vehicle theft, was arrested when he returned to Spain from the UK on Friday.
